Toyota Financial Services (TFS) faced the daunting task of compiling data from a multitude of disconnected sources for their reports. This cumbersome and time-consuming process was becoming increasingly difficult to manage efficiently.
Codec implemented a complete end-to-end data warehouse and reporting BI solution, providing TFS with valuable data insights on contracts, quotes, dealer loans etc. The implementation involved analysing data from multiple sources, integrating it into the Data Warehouse and provide Power BI Reporting.
Toyota Financial Services provides a range of flexible and affordable finance options for new cars and commercial vehicles, as well as approved used vehicles across the island of Ireland.
However, given the nature of their business the TFS faced significant challenges due to a lack of robust reporting capabilities. Their teams had to manually compile reports from data spread across multiple excel spreadsheets, a laborious and time-consuming process. With over 70 reports needed daily, this approach quickly became unsustainable. To make the most accurate business decisions, TFS required access to historical data, daily updates, and point-in-time information. Receiving and interpreting these files every day became a tedious task, overwhelming the team members.
TFS recognised the need for a full migration of its core systems, emphasising the importance of maintaining existing reporting data, while also developing a comprehensive suite of new sales reports. The primary challenge was centralising all the information into a data warehouse, enabling easy and efficient report generation through PowerBI.
